My Ride - Page 1

Oldsmobile 442's could be ordered with the W30 option which included the potent L77 455cid engine that produced 300hp and 410ft/lbs of torque, low restriction dual exhausts, lightweight aluminum intake manifold, the W25 fiberglass ram air hood, posi-traction differential with 3.42:1 gears and heavy duty cooling. Due to the low vacuum at idle, air conditioning was not available and power brakes were only available with an automatic transmission. Only 113 W30 convertibles were made in 1972, making this a very rare option. To make this particular car unique, there were only 80 W30 convertibles made with the Turbo Hydromatic 400 transmission. The rare color combination of Sequoia Green with white interior and white convertible top make this a truly stunning automobile. This exquisite automobile is a true three owner car, originally purchased in Atlanta, Georgia then moved to Barrington, Illinois, and then to its latest home in Elgin, Illinois since 1996. Features 51,400 original miles, sport steering wheel, Hurst dual-gate shifter, rally pack gauges, SS 1 rally wheels, reproduction Goodyear polyglas tires, original spare tire never mounted, 3.73 posi-traction differential.
